The Story Behind Yum Yum Candy Shop

In January 2023, Dave and Sara — a husband and wife of 23 years — turned a simple idea into what is now Yum Yum Candy Shop.

Married since they were 18, with Dave serving in the Army, they’ve built their life together around hard work, family, and taking chances when opportunity shows up.

That opportunity came during a routine shopping trip.

While picking up gummy candy, they struck up a conversation with another shopper who mentioned freeze-drying candy. Curious, they tried it for themselves… and instantly knew they were onto something.

After purchasing their first freeze dryer, Dave and Sara began experimenting at home — testing different candies, flavors, and textures to create something truly unique.

What started as a small experiment quickly turned into something much bigger.

After launching their website and posting videos on TikTok and Facebook, demand took off almost overnight. Orders flooded in, and they rapidly expanded — adding more freeze dryers, building a team, and moving into a 5,000 sq ft facility.

Today, Yum Yum Candy Shop operates with a tight-knit team, creating new candy creations daily and continuing to grow.
