Storing freeze-dried candy is easy, and it comes down to one rule: keep moisture out. Seal it tight, keep it cool and dry, and your candy stays crisp for months.
The one enemy: moisture
Freeze-drying works by removing nearly all the water from candy. That is what creates the crunch and the long shelf life. The moment the candy is exposed to humid air, it slowly takes that moisture back and softens. So good storage is really just good moisture control.
The simple storage routine
Keep candy in its original resealable bag. After each handful, press out the extra air and seal it tightly. Store the bag in a cool, dry cupboard out of direct sunlight. That is genuinely all it takes.
What not to do
Do not refrigerate or freeze it. Both add moisture, which is the opposite of what you want. Avoid leaving the bag open, and keep it away from heat and sunny windowsills. If a piece ever softens, it is still completely safe to eat, just less crunchy.
